Hi there, I'm Ellie a product designer.
Over 10 years of teaching language and then 1 year working in the sales team of an international company have turned me into a person who finds joy in communicating with people and actively listening to them to find ways to help them get to what they want.
In my teaching days, my users were my students, user-centered design was my student-centered approach and my students’ experiences in class was my self-made product! Finally evaluation forms filled by students served as reviews and rates.
Working with hundreds of students of different ages and backgrounds, each with unique motivations to learn a new language, encouraged me to think of different ways to grow their interest in the learning process and maintain their motivation in the long run.
Gaining their trust as someone who truly cares about them was always my first step. Then, by finding out their interests and preferences, I could create an engaging learning environment where my students felt valued and motivated to excel. Whether using games or letting them play their favorite song and discuss it, teach grammar to their classmates, or talk about their frustrations at work, I would let my students decide so they would feel it was all about them! Holding interactive courses has improved my problem-solving skills and taught me to prioritize user needs while meeting the business objectives which has helped me in my design career.

When I'm not working, I love playing games like PS5. 'Uncharted' is my favorite but most of the time, you'll find me playing backgammon online. If you're interested, feel free to join my team!
